NEW - Staff Accountant

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Perform data entry for payroll, general and standard journal entries, bank and credit card transaction maintenance, bank feed                          management and account reconciliations.
·         Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset purchases and expense reporting.
·         Review and assist as needed with problems related to tracking and inputting data into proper accounting format.
·         Maintains and review general ledger accounts, including financial statements, to verify accuracy with coding, classifying and posting.
·         Post and review payroll data journal entries and ensure that payroll processing standards are met by outside service and/or client.
·         Acquiring information and supporting documentation for tax reporting and meeting tax deadlines.
·         Collaborate with accounting team on industry updates and software development.
·         Collaborate regarding improvements to Internal Control & Best Practice processes.

Education and experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or work equivalent experience.
·         Three years of relevant accounting experience and knowledge of budgeting and general account theory, principles and practices.
·         Three years working in a public accounting firm or multi-business environment.
·         Experience in supporting and educating clients on book management and best practices.

·         Knowledge of computer information systems and spreadsheets and present financial information.
·         Demonstrate ability to identify potential risks associated with a proposed business initiative and recommend alternative actions.
·         Ability to analyze and prepare statistical and narrative accounting reports.
·         Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, work associates and third-party administrators. 

Strong experience in software:  QuickBooks Online (QBO), QuickBooks Desktop, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote), ADP, CCH Wolters Kluwer Tax Programs

Benefits:

Pay = $55,000 - $85,000

In office M-F with flex schedule outside of tax season.

401K benefits with 3% automatic safe harbor (after 1 year)
